Journalling Scrapbooks How many times do you look at old photo albums and wonder who the people are in the photos? What was the occasion and When? It is a shame that in so many old albums these events are not recorded, it is fascinating to see how your ancestors lived, their inspirations, their fun and home life. Make a change, today, to start journalling your scrapbooks so that your future generations will not be wondering the same things when looking through your albums! A picture can be worth a thousand words, but it can never tell the full story. You still need the details to give it meaning - the Who, What, Where, When are the important details but a little more to reveal the history, social customs and their thought is so much more rewarding. Bullet points with just the main points - the Who, What, Where and When are a good starting point for someone who does not have the confidence to write whole paragraphs on their pages. You will find that as you progress with your album, you will want to tell more of the story and sometimes it is hard to stop! Susan Munro
